I first met Jay and Rachel when I photographed their elopement at San Francisco City Hall.
They have known each other since high school in Korea. However, Jay went to college in Chicago so they had mostly lived apart. Despite their long-distance relationship, they kept their relationship strong and have traveled the world together.
Jay’s proposal is also a great story. While they were in Portugal, a local photographer approached them for an interview and some photos. While the photographer was photographing them, Jay surprised Rachel and proposed to her! Jay had it all planned out. How romantic!
Now after 10 years together they are settled in the Bay Area.
