Mia is a good friend of mine from university in Seoul. She met her boyfriend Chris while she was an exchange student in Portland. (Sound familiar? That’s similar to how I met my husband, but the other way around!) As with many international couples, Mia had to go back home to Korea after the exchange program ended, and Mia and Chris couldn’t avoid a long-distance relationship. However, and fortunately for them, they didn’t have to do long distance very long. Chris got a job in Korea, and now they are both living happily in Korea.
Mia and Chris took a trip from Korea to the US to visit Chris’s family in Portland. During that trip they made a quick jaunt to San Francisco. I was so excited to see Mia as it had been almost 2 years since we last saw each other! We met in Sausalito to have lunch and catch up. Since I don’t get to see Mia often, and it was my first time meeting Chris, I wanted to do something memorable for them. So we did a small photoshoot near Golden Gate Bridge. They were absolutely adorable! It made me so happy to see their love for each other!
